The Board of the Marin LGBTQ+ Center Denounces President Trump's Assault on
LGBTQ+ Rights
The Board of the Marin LGBTQ+ Center denounces President Trump’s recent executive actions
targeting LGBTQ+ community members, especially transgender and non-binary individuals.
Policies that deny the existence of trans people, restrict gender markers on federal documents,
and dismantle Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs perpetuate discrimination and
threaten the safety and dignity of countless people.
These actions highlight the critical need for spaces that affirm and protect LGBTQ+ individuals.
Now more than ever, our work to establish a Marin LGBTQ+ Center is essential to ensure
safety, support, and resources for our community.
We call on allies and local leaders to join us in 1) advocating for policies that uphold equality for
all people 2) providing resources for transgender and non-binary individuals 3) and building a
Marin community where everyone can thrive.
To stay informed of our work establishing a community center and brave spaces for our
community, please sign up for our email list above.
In solidarity,
The Board of the Marin LGBTQ+ Center
